  3. Ride Safety;

    - You’re riding as a group: Always remember you’re riding as a group and you need to consider all other people in said group

    - Road rules: Always follow road rules and instructions of the support crew and staff

    - No headphones: Never ride with headphones

    - Ride predictably: Do your best to avoid sudden movements or changes in direction to ensure you’re riding predictably

    - Communicate clearly: Verbal and non-verbal communication is essential when riding in a group. When riding at the front of the group you are responsible for alerting the rest of the group to upcoming hazards.

    - Ride within your limits: All rides are supported so if you can’t keep up or if you just need a break, please alert the support crew and they will advise accordingly.

    - Maintain an even speed: Although difficult, it is important to try and maintain a steady speed, especially while climbing and descending. Getting in and out of your seat can cause you to lose your centre of gravity so it is important to be mindful of this.

  4. Respect the Support crew – Our support crew and staff have taken time out of their busy lives to help deliver this fundraising event. Always be respectful and mindful of their instructions.

  5. Insurance – Participation on Noosa2Byron is at your own risk which is why there is a mandatory requirement for comprehensive insurance that covers you for road accidents resulting from leisure riding. Please ensure your personal property and any potential damage you cause to other people’s property is covered by your policy.
